Sydney Beberman, former JSU president at Highland Park High School, recently completed Shanah Alef at Machon Maayan, and while many Yeshiva and Seminary students flew back to America during the pandemic, she decided to stay and learn. In this article she reflects on her experience having stayed in Israel during the global Corona pandemic. Sydney is planning to return next year for Shanah Bet.
