OU West Coast: Dr. Pelcovitz on ‘Raising a Mentch’
OU WEST COAST ADDRESSES ‘PSYCHOLOGY OF RAISING A MENTCH,’ FEATURING DR. DAVID PELCOVITZ OF YESHIVA UNIVERSITY
The OU West Coast Region, based in Los Angeles, presented Dr. David Pelcovitz, Straus Professor of Psychology and Education at Yeshiva University's Azrieli Graduate School, for an evening of learning and conversation focused on "How to Raise a Child to be a Mentch: What Does Psychological Research Teach Us About Mentch Making?"
The evening was hosted by OU West Coast President Dr. Steven Tabak, and his wife, Linda.
Rabbi Alan Kalinsky, Director of the OU West Coast Region, noted, “This event was part of the OU's agenda of reaching the ‘grass tops,’ — those who are directly impacting the work of growing the Jewish community. Dr. Pelcovitz' engaging presentation was extremely well-received by teachers and administrators alike who represented Orthodox Day schools from across the Los Angeles Jewish community.”
